I Luv Mythology!

Hi!

I think you're website's really cool. I luv reading about the greek gods and goddesses... I think they're very interesting. I'm not sure who my favorite god or goddess is - maybe Athena. I don't really like Zeus's personality, but I'm so jealous of his master lightning bolt. Poseidon seems pretty cool. So, I guess it's one of them. The main thing I don't like about the Greek gods/goddesses is that they all seem to be, well, cheaters, having so many kids with mortals and each other. I've learned a lot about Greek mythology through the Percy Jackson series. I think the author does a great job of making it fun, and easy for kids to understand. The next book we're reading in my english class is the Odyssey (sorry if I didn't spell that right). I'm pretty sure that's about Greek mythology... I can't wait to get started! :)


Thank you for your wonderful comment. My favourite is Athena, too. You are perfectly right about the gods and goddeses being cheaters (maybe that's where the soap operas draw inspiration? Hmmm!). But I guess they just had to be worshipped, they were not "role models" for the mortals (in fact, when mortals did what gods did, they were heavily punished).
