Help to figure out who this is?

wedgwood

Hi i am trying to find out the name of this goddess.
It is on a piece of English Wedgwood.
Thanks for any help.
Steve

Hello Steve,
I extend the invitation to help us find her name to all our readers. In the meantime, I'll also look into it better.
Could you describe the image a little more? Just from the head it is difficult to understand who she is. Does she seem to have a crown or a veil?
Hope to hear from you soon,
Anca

Help to figure out who this is?

I believe that the goddess in that picture is Athena (Minerva) because the objects next to the face looks to be a olive branch. One of Athena's godly symbol is the olive branch because she invented the olive tree to be selected as patron god the of the new (at the time) Athens. Hence the name. The myth also says that Poseidon (Neptune) created horses from crests of the oceans waves. I guess the Athenians liked the olive branch better. Tuff luck Poseidon.
